With this guided tour we cross the threshold of the most famous temple of opera and music, La Scala of Milan and we are immediately aware of the magical and special aura around us. La Scala, built at the end of the 18 th century on the remains of the church of Santa Maria alla Scala on the wishes of Maria Teresa of Austria, became one of the symbols of neo-classic architecture, thanks also to the fame and skill of the most illustrious architect of the Hapsburg court, Giuseppe Piermarini.

Today the Theatre’s Museum is one of the most visited in the city by tourists from all over the world. Against the background of ballets and very famous performances, the history of the Theatre is told by precious jewellery, musical instruments, objects and stage costumes of great singers and actresses such as Eleonora Duse and Maria Callas – not to mention a lock of Mozart’s hair (!) and many other exhibits and intriguing relics!
